How does pro-rata charging work when I buy a new postpaid connection or a new hardware under my existing connection?
1. Your usage will be calculated according to the number of days the service is used as from the date of connection till the last date of the month.
2. The acquisition of a new hardware will not affect the monthly rental, being tackled separately. Hence, pro-rata charging is not applicable.
What is Late Payment Charge and when is it applied?
Late Payment Charge happens when payment is effected after Due Date mentioned on Invoice and covers 10% of the current bill amount.
What is the difference between CL and MUL?
MUL refers to the Monthly Usage Limit and is reset every 1st day of the month at 00 hr. Whereas Credit Limit will not be reset and will be dependent on subscribers’ payments. Please walk in our showroom or send us an email on, should you wish to apply MUL or CL.
What does Others, for which I am billed for, consist of?
Others” consist of charges like reconnection fee, Late Payment Charge and Value Added Services such as, but not limited to: CallerTunes, Team Tweet, Missed Call Alert and TamTam.
I have made a payment through post office but my outgoing calls and sms have been disconnected.
You should allow 2 working days for processing payments made in post offices.
I have not received my bills, what should I do?
Please walk in our showroom with your ID card or send us an email on to confirm your address and request for a duplicate copy of your bill.
Where should Direct Debit form be submitted?
You can leave your Direct Debit form directly at your bank.
What happens after I submit my Direct Debit form?
Your request will be processed at your bank and be sent to Emtel. Note that this will take around 3 months and will appear on your invoice once applied. In the meantime, thank you to effect payment, by cash or cheque, in our showroom.
When does Direct Debit discount apply?
The Direct Debit discount of Rs. 25 is given upon first payment received through direct debit.
Why am I not receiving my itemized bills anymore?
Following our growing concerns about the preservation of the Environment, Emtel is sending ONLY the printed Statement of Accounts to customers using recycled paper.
What should I do to access my itemized bills?
Bills can be accessed online using the Selfcare portal available on our web site, FREE OF CHARGE.

For hard copy of itemized bills, individual customers can walk in any Emtel showroom along with their ID card. Corporate customers can contact their sales representative or send a request through an official email on Requests for itemized bills both individual and corporate are subject to a fee.
How much do itemized bills cost?
This service costs Rs. 60 monthly per mobile number, excluding VAT for systematic reception and will appear in your Statement of Account. Same cost applies for one-off requests.
