What is Emtel Mobile Banking?

  • It allows Emtel customers to check their bank transactions on their mobile 24/7.
  • Available for both Prepaid and Postpaid customers
  • Also available while roaming*
*In countries where Emtel has roaming agreements. Tariffs depend on destinations. 

To register:
  • Visit the nearest SBM branch to register your mobile number on this service
  • Bring your ID card and bank account number
  • You will then receive an SMS confirming your registration
  • If you have more than one account with SBM, you can still register with all your different accounts

How it works?
  • To check the balance
  • Go to message menu
  • Send “sbm bal” to 8727

To verify last 5 transactions
  • Send “sbm trx” to 8727

To verify balance on another account
  • Send “sbm bal xxxxxxxxx” to 8727 (where “xxxxxxxxx” represents the other account number)

To verify last 5 transactions on another account
  • Send “sbm trx xxxxxxxxx” to 8727 (where “xxxxxxxxx” represents the other account number)
