Rollback DST in MauritiusThe Government of Mauritius announced the rollback of daylight saving time (DST) in Mauritius as from March 29th, 2009 at 02:00 A.M local daylight saving time (GMT+04:00). Changes are shown in the table below:
2. What is the impact on my BlackBerry? The DST may not be programmed in to your BlackBerry, which may create issues with your appointments and time settings. Will appointments on my BlackBerry calendar be affected?Yes, appointments with a start date falling after March 29th may display incorrectly. 2. Would a recurring appointment started during the affected period last year display incorrectly? Yes. Even if the recurring appointment started before the affected period in previous years, the start and end times may display incorrectly after the March 29th. In some cases, all instances of this appointment will display incorrectly thereafter. 3. What happens when my BlackBerry synchronizes its calendar with my email client, or with my computer calendar through BlackBerry Desktop Manager? In both situations your appointments and reminders may display incorrectly on your BlackBerry during the affected period. 4. Do I need to update my appointments manually during the affected period if I've updated my BlackBerry through our BES? Yes. Appointments created after the update is done, will appear one hour ahead in the BlackBerry calendar. Appointments created using the normal Time Zone (GMT +4.00) on updated computers and BlackBerry devices will display correctly. 5.
